Shelby's New Fire Engine

Shelby Fire District received it's new Fire Engine this month. It will be
the first Engine in the Birmingham Metro area with a C.A.F.
System. This is a compressed air foam system. With this
system the firefighters will have faster knock down of fires and less water
damage as a result of using this compressed foam. Classroom training begins this
week on the use of this system followed by practical use training at a house
that North Shelby will be burning later in the week. (For

Station #1.)
